Logo strip

A spoken-at or featured-in row built from image cards in one page's body, with an optional button, a monochrome treatment and a pause control when it scrolls.

A quiet row of marks: where you have spoken, who you have written for, which publications have covered your work.

In this band the page body is the band. Whatever you put in the body is what a visitor sees, so you curate the row in the editor with no settings involved.

Create it

#home-logos

Go to Pages → New page. The title becomes the small label beside the row, for example Spoken at or Featured in.

In the body, add one image card per logo. Type /image or drag a file in.

Under Tags, add #home-logos.

Publish.

What the body can hold

Three kinds of block, each optional:

In the bodyOn the page
Image cardOne logo in the row
Button cardA centred call to action under the row, with its own hairline above it
ParagraphSupporting copy across the full width

The excerpt has no slot in this band. The title is the only label the design wants.

Use transparent files

Logos look best as transparent PNGs or SVGs. Quiet does not put them in boxes, so a mark on its own white rectangle will read as a white rectangle.

One colour instead of many

Add this tag to the same page:

#logos-mono

The marks then render as one muted set rather than in their own colours, inverted in dark mode so they stay visible.

This is opt-in rather than the default, because no single treatment is safe for every logo: a pale mark on a coloured tile inverts into an unreadable slab. Try it, and keep it if your set is mostly flat marks.

When the row scrolls

If there are more marks than fit on the screen, Quiet turns the row into a slow continuous drift and mounts a pause button beside the label. Everything about that is automatic:

  • Fits on screen: a still row, no animation, no button.
  • Does not fit: a slow drift a reader can pause.
  • A visitor whose device asks for reduced motion: the animation is removed entirely and the marks wrap onto two lines instead. Not a paused marquee, a still grid.

To keep the row still whatever its length, add this tag to the page:

#logos-static

The band needs a body

With an empty body, the band renders nothing: no label over an empty row. And on a members-only page the body is withheld from signed-out readers, so the band disappears for them too.

Logos do not open full screen

Photographs elsewhere in Quiet open in a full-screen viewer. Logos deliberately do not: a press mark blown up to fill the screen is nobody's idea of a good time. A logo that links somewhere follows its link as usual.

  • Photo strip, the same scrolling engine with photographs.
  • Testimonials, the other band built from cards in the body.
