Introduction

Documentation for Quiet, the premium Ghost theme for writers and authors. Installation, theme settings, homepage sections, the podcast and video channel, portfolio, gallery and customization.

Quiet

Quiet is a centred, generous theme for writers and authors: essays first, with room for a newsletter, a podcast, films, a portfolio and photographs when you want them, and nothing competing with the words.

Where to start

How Quiet works

Most themes are configured in a settings panel. Quiet is configured with content: you publish a page, add one tag, and a section of your site appears. That means your homepage is written in the editor rather than assembled from options, and features switch themselves on when the content they need exists.

There are only eight theme settings, and you can ignore most of them.

Two things to know before you start

Quiet needs Ghost 6.0.0 or later (see Compatibility), and the archive, the podcast and the video channel need the routes file that ships with the theme, which is step 5 of installation.
