Pages you can build
Quiet's four page templates, chosen from the editor's Template dropdown: a photo gallery, a newsletter landing page, a contact page and a portfolio.
Four of Quiet's layouts are alternative page designs rather than sections of the homepage. You pick one per page from the editor, and the page keeps whatever address you gave it.
Photo gallery
A photo wall built from Ghost's own gallery cards, with a full-screen viewer.
Newsletter page
A signup page that lists your recent issues automatically.
Contact page
A working contact form, with a sidebar you write in the editor.
Portfolio
A numbered index of your work, built from pages tagged #project.
Choosing a template
Open the page in the Ghost editor.
Click the settings icon at the top right.
Under Template, choose Contact, Gallery, Newsletter or Projects. The default is Default, the ordinary page layout.
Update the page.
The template does not change the address
A page at /say-hello/ using the Contact template stays at /say-hello/. Slugs and templates are separate choices.
Two slugs worth using anyway
Nothing here is tied to a slug, but two links elsewhere in the theme look for one:
- A page at
/projects/turns on the "All projects" link in the homepage portfolio band, and the "Back to all projects" link on each project page. - A page at
/gallery/turns on the "Visit the gallery" link beside the homepage photo strip.
If you would rather call them something else, everything still works: those two links simply do not appear.
What about the podcast and the video channel?
Those two are not in the dropdown, on purpose. /podcast/ and /videos/ list your episodes and films, which means they need Ghost to hand them a paginated set of posts, and a page render does not do that. They come from the routes file instead.

These four work on posts too
Ghost offers the same four templates when you are editing a post. It is an unusual thing to want, but if you ever need a post that looks like the gallery, it is there.
The archive
Your article archive at /articles/: posts filed under month headings, a filter row of your five most-used tags, twelve posts a page, and where your RSS feeds live.

A photo wall built from Ghost's own gallery cards: columns that balance themselves, several cards merging into one wall, and a full-screen viewer with captions.
