Installation
You can upload, activate, and manage Meridian directly from Ghost Admin. This is where you control the design and appearance of your publication.
Quick start
Four short steps and your new theme is live.
Check Compatibility First
Before installing, make sure your Ghost site is running Ghost v6.0.0 or later. Meridian declares Ghost 6 as a hard requirement and will not activate on Ghost 5. See the Compatibility Guide.
Open Theme Settings
Go to Settings → Design & branding in Ghost Admin and click Change theme.
Upload the zip
Click Upload theme in the top-right corner and select meridian.zip.
Activate
When the upload finishes, click Activate to apply Meridian to your site.
Verify
Open your site in a new tab. You should see the masthead with the date stamp, the hamburger drawer button, and — if you have featured posts — the Editor's Picks strip on the homepage. Toggle the reader controls in the header to confirm light, dark, and system color modes all work.
What to set up next
Right after activation we recommend, in this order: pick a paper tone and accent in Site wide settings, set your primary and secondary navigation, then read the editorial conventions so you know what the #breaking, #dropcap, and #home-* tags do.
