Brand
Set your accent color, logo, icon, cover, and fonts in Ghost's Brand settings — and see exactly where Signal uses each one across your site.
Ghost's built-in Brand settings (logo, accent color, icon, cover, and fonts) live in Settings → Design & branding and apply to every theme. This page shows how Signal uses each one.
Everything below lives in the same panel: open Settings → Design & branding in Ghost Admin and click Customize — the steps in each section start from there.
Accent color
The accent color highlights key elements across your site — buttons, active states, focus rings, and interactive UI. Signal pairs it with its own studio-minimal palette.
In the Customize panel, under Accent color, click the color picker and choose a new color.
Click Save to apply the changes.
Publication icon
The Publication icon identifies your site in the browser tab (favicon), Portal, and search results.
In the Customize panel, under Publication icon, click Upload icon and select your image file.
Click Save to apply the changes.
Publication logo
The Publication logo is displayed in the site header. If no logo is uploaded, your site title is shown instead. To swap the logo when dark mode is active, see the Dark mode logo setting.
In the Customize panel, under Publication logo, click Upload logo and select your logo file.
Click Save to apply the changes.
Logo tips
To ensure your brand looks its best in this theme, we recommend the following:
- Orientation: A horizontal logo suits this theme best.
- Dimensions: Your logo image should have a minimum height of 32 pixels.
- Background: A transparent background is recommended to ensure a consistent appearance in both light and dark mode.
Publication cover
The Publication cover represents your site visually. Signal doesn't display it anywhere in the theme itself — Ghost uses it as the default Open Graph image when your site is shared on social media, so it's still worth setting.
In the Customize panel, under Publication cover, click Upload cover and select your cover image file.
Click Save to apply the changes.
Typography
Signal routes its heading and body fonts through Ghost's native font pickers, so you can set both from the dashboard with no code.
In the Customize panel, under Heading font and Body font, choose your preferred fonts from the dropdown menus.
Click Save to apply the changes.
Note
Signal ships with a serif display face and a variable sans-serif body font as its defaults. Choosing fonts here overrides them.
