Navigation

Set up the Miyus header menu and footer links, and build dropdown sub-menus by prefixing item labels with two dashes in Ghost's Navigation settings.

This theme offers advanced native multi-level navigation for your header, and comprehensive footer linking options through Ghost's built-in Navigation settings.

Primary Navigation

The Primary Navigation manages the main menu that appears in your website's header, next to the built-in search button, the dark-mode toggle (when dark mode is enabled), and the Subscribe/Account button (when membership is enabled).

Navigate to the Navigation settings in Ghost Admin.

Locate the Primary tab on the left-hand side of the interface.

Add the labels and internal/external URLs for your main pages.

Click the Save button to apply your modifications.

Multi-level Dropdowns (Built-in)

Miyus can turn flat navigation items into a dropdown sub-menu — no code injection needed. The grouping happens through a simple label naming convention in Ghost's native navigation editor:

Add the parent item as usual (e.g. Guides).

Directly below it, add each sub-item with its label prefixed by two dashes: -- Tutorials, -- Tips, and so on.

Click Save. Every -- item is collected into a dropdown under the item right above it, and the dashes are stripped from the visible label.

Order matters

Sub-items must sit immediately below their parent in the navigation list. A -- item that isn't preceded by a normal item has no parent to attach to.
